Activities

The Risk Services Department is comprised of two divisions, Loss Control and Underwriting. Our talented staff provides the NDIRF members and agents with broad knowledge and top-notch service.

The underwriting staff identifies a member’s loss exposures, which allows for appropriate coverage pricing. Accurate pricing is important to ensure equitable cost distribution for all members. Our underwriters’ knowledge of our members' liability exposures is a key factor in providing historically stable coverage costs.

Our loss control staff provides the safety survey and training functions of the Risk Services Department. Premises and policy surveys, defensive driving class instruction and video and DVD safety library are but a few of the services provided. These surveys and classes are provided in an effort to eliminate potential liability hazards and identify unsafe activities. Our ultimate goal is the elimination of all potential for loss.
