Board of Directors

We refer to our ten-member Board of Directors to help provide the vision for how the NDIRF can deliver the best possible coverages, claims services, and risk management training and resources for North Dakota local governments.

Our Board members represent a variety of local government entity types across North Dakota. Nine Board members are required to be employees or officials from entities that obtain coverage through the NDIRF. In addition, the Board includes one At-Large director position, which may be filled by a North Dakota citizen who brings additional experience and perspective to support the NDIRF’s mission and governance responsibilities.

Elected Board members serve three-year terms, after which they must seek reelection. Elections are held annually, and results are announced at the Spring Annual Meeting.
