Outside Claims Adjuster
The North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund in Bismarck, ND, an EOE, is seeking a highly motivated individual as a Claims Adjuster. This position requires a varying amount of overnight travel and will be responsible for the processing and resolving of claims, conducting on-site investigations, and writing property and auto estimates. In addition, this role will perform a variety of administrative tasks to support the claim function.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or a related field and at least four years adjusting experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling multi-line claims, with a strong background in property, along with the ability to understand insurance policies, legal interpretations, regulations, standards, and documents. Excellent people, negotiating, decision-making, and time-management skills are essential. This position requires attention to detail and advanced skills in the use of computers and computer software. Professional designations are a plus.
